FORT KENT and ST. FRANCIS – Clovis D. Jandreau, 86, passed away June 15, 2012, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 9, 1925, inCastonguay Settlement, son of Dedime and Annie (Castonguay) Jandreau.

He worked for Maine Forest Service for 22 years. Prior to that he was a logger in the Maine woods. He was an avid canoeist being born and brought up on the St. John River. He loved to hunt, fish, snowmobile, four-wheeling in our beautiful northern Maine woods.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Laurine Morin Jandreau; daughter, Linda and husband, Robert Follansbee, of South Portland, Pam Jandreau and Herman Dubois of Fort Kent, and Wendy Jandreau of Fort Kent; four grandchildren, Renee Harvey of Presque Isle, Julia Schafer of Old Orchard Beach, Jake Harvey of St. Francis and Fredrick Follansbee of Portland; two great-grandchildren, Lexie Taylor Harvey and Christopher Weand; and one sister, Hilda Guerrette. In addition to both his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Norman Jandreau. The family thanks Hospice of Aroostook and Northern Maine Medical Center.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 18, and 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Francis. Committal service will be at the parish cemetery. Donations may be sent to Edgar J.
