PALMER, Mass. – Brenda Carol (Severance) McLean, 64, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 after a long illness at Kindred Hospital, Springfield, Mass. She was born Feb. 29, 1948, in Bangor, to Lottie L. (McLaughlin) and Ernest H. Severance, both of Carroll Plantation.

For the past 28 years she has resided in Palmer, Mass., with her fiance, John Boudreau Jr. She spent much time over the years fishing and enjoying the outdoors. She was a member of Quabbin Fishing Assoc. Brenda spent the majority of her work life at Monson Developmental Center as a mental health assistant and retired from NTP in Holyoke, Mass.

She was predeceased by her father, Ernest; and her son, Brad Worster. She is survived by her fiance, John Boudreau Jr.; sons, Bret Worster of Ludlow, Mass., Scott McLean of Belchertown, Mass.; mother, Lottie Cleveland; and sister, Cathy Severance of Carroll Plantation; brother, Clifford Severance of Herndon, Va.; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, three nephews and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

At her request there will be no memorial services held. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation in her memory to the American Lung Association.
