FORT FAIRFIELD and CASWELL – Glenda A. Ketch, 73, wife of Hardie L. Ketch, passed away Wednesday morning, July 18, 2012, at her Fort Fairfield residence, after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 13, 1938, in Caswell, daughter of Vinal and Gladys (O’Neal) Greenier.
Glenda attended Caswell schools and was a graduate of Limestone High School, class of 1956. She was married to Hardie L. Ketch, Aug. 3, 1957, and had been employed for a number of years as a bookkeeper at Northern National Bank, Fort Fairfield. Glenda greatly enjoyed traveling and camping. She was an avid reader, and loved having her family near and enjoyed gatherings with them.
Glenda was predeceased by her parents; and two brothers-in-law, Maynard Sirois and Al Suire. She is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years, Hardie of Fort Fairfield; one son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Debra Ketch; one daughter and son-in-law, D’Ann and Tom Rochford, all of Fort Fairfield; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Reginald and June Greenier, and Roger and Priscilla Greenier, all of Caswell; two sisters, Anita Sirois of Limestone and Sylvia Suire of Caswell; four grandchildren, Philip and Matthew Rochford, and Ashley and Amanda Ketch; one great-granddaughter, Lainey Mae Rochford, all of Fort Fairfield; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield. The funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, July 22, at Community Wesleyan Church, 9 Wesleyan St., Fort Fairfield, with Pastor Dee Lower officiating. Interment will be held after the service at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held after the interment at Veterans of Foreign Wars Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield.
