PALM COAST, Fla. – Gilbert Lenord “Lenny” Floyd, 69, died Aug. 10, 2012, in Palm Coast, Fla., with his family at his side.
Lenny, as most of his friends knew him, was born in Connecticut and moved to the Brewer area as a small child, where he lived and worked until 1980 when he and his family moved to Florida. Lenny was a successful businessman, owning and operating an irrigation company in Palm Coast, Fla. Lenny was an avid racing fan and proudly sponsored a championship winning race car at Volusia Speedway. He also enjoyed music, a good joke, and talking to his many Facebook friends.
Lenny was predeceased by his father, Gilbert; his mother, Dora; his brother, Larry; and his son, Michael. He is survived by his sister, Margret of Brewer; wife of 49 years, Karen of Palm Coast, Fla.; his daughters, Penny Bivens of Tuscola, Texas, and Danielle Floyd of Newburgh; his son, Patrick of Palm Coast, Fla.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
