HOLDEN, Maine — A Hampden woman stopped Thursday by Holden police Officer Chris Greeley told him that the 20 diverted prescription pills she had on her were her husband’s and that she had consumed some.

“It’s against the law to take somebody else’s drugs” even if it is your spouse, Greeley said. “It’s a crime.”

Marie C. Sanipas, 39, also had a pill crusher with drug residue inside, the officer said.

She was stopped by Greeley at about 1:45 p.m. Thursday near the Holden-Dedham town line for having an expired inspection sticker. Sanipas was charged with possession of a scheduled drug and operating a motor vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. She is scheduled to appear in court at the Penobscot Judicial Center on Oct. 11, Greeley said.

  1. So she’s on drugs and she also isn’t responsible enough to get her car inspected.  What good is she?  Maybe she can search the classifieds and find a job as a pill crusher – she even has her own equipment.

    1. Every 90 days I get 45 pills for cholesterol in the mail from the VA. I can hire her to operate the tablet cutter they sent me.

        1.  I can’t find anybody to hold the pills steady on the chopping block for me. People are way too nervous these days.
