BLUE HILL, Maine — Three adults and a dozen juveniles were charged with alcohol-related offenses after deputies with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department responded to a noise complaint about 11:30 p.m. Friday.
Alison Carey, 57, of Blue Hill was charged with furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol, a Class D crime, according the sheriff’s office. Alex Buzzell, 18, of Ellsworth and James Szasz, 18, of Blue Hill were charged with possession of alcohol by a minor.
The juveniles, who names were not released were issued summons for underage drinking.

Are you saying they should have ignored the initial noise complaint or looked the other way when they got there and discovered the underage drinking?
i can tell you this im glad hcsd took care of this cause its way better then us reading about another alcohol related crash involving teens drinking and driving
‘Minor’ is only an age. I still have my Maine Liquor ID from when I was 18 and am not arguing the pros and cons of it, but it’s still just a number. The Feds came up with the number under the threat of highway funds cutoffs (as I remember, and the legal limit).
While giving them booze was illegal, we don’t know the situation or the rest of the story

Plus, Ms Harrison, I8 is not juvenile for reporting names! 16 for consent and driving. 18 for voting, contracts and military but not for reporting their names?

You are incorrect. The 18th birthday (for good or evil) is the demarcation line between a “legal” juvenile and an adult.
Isn’t that what I said? Since they are both 18, why were they called juveniles and their names couldn’t be reported?

There were three adults charged and their names are mentioned. The two 18 year olds are minors regarding possession of alcohol. The other 12 are juveniles, meaning under 18, so their names cannot be published.
