Michael Jay Dickens
ELLSWORTH – Michael Jay Dickens, 51, passed away March 14, 2013, at a local hospital. He was born Oct. 18, 1961, the son of Reginald E. and Dorcas M. (Macomber) Dickens.
He loved writing stories and poems. Music was a big part of his life; he was a big fan of the Beatles and Michael Jackson. He liked politics, television and spending time with his daughter.
Michael is survived by his wife, Annabelle; and daughter, Cianita. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Anita Baculi; father-in-law, Marciano Baculi; brothers, Timothy Dickens and his wife, Louise, and John Dickens and his wife, Brenda; brother-in-law, Richard Baculi; nieces, Emily, Heather, Amy, Katlyn, Kathryn and Marnette; nephews, Jeffrey, Jomar, Jesscart, Jerrald, Jordan and Jake; several aunts, uncles, great-nieces, great-nephews, friends and co-workers. He was predeceased by his father, Reginald Dickens; mother, Dorcas Dickens; bother, Thomas Dickens; nephew, Christopher J. Dickens; and brother-in-law, Manfred Baculi “Joy.”
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at Eastbrook Baptist Church, Eastbrook. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Maine Cancer Foundation, 170 U.S. Route 1, Suite 250, Falmouth, ME 04105. Arrangements by Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Ellsworth.
