BANGOR – Richard “Dick” H. Wiggin, 85, passed away April 14, 2013, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born Oct. 8, 1928, in Corinth, the son of Thurston H. and Helen (Chandler) Wiggin.
Dick graduated from East Corinth High School. He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War, 1950-1952. Dick worked with his two brothers, Carlton and Floyd Wiggin, in construction for many years. Before his retirement he worked for Tom Walsh and family building hotels in different states. He was a member of East Corinth American Legion. Dick was also a member of Olive Branch No. 124 A. F. & A. M of Charleston, the Scottish Rite Valley of Bangor, and Anah Shriners.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Marlene (Provost) Wiggin; daughter, Patty Spinny of Newport; grandson, Jonathan; and granddaughter, Jessica Reynolds; two great-grandsons; and stepson, Scott Richard and daughters, Amanda and Ashley. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Carlton and Floyd; three sisters, Annette Webber, Rachel Merrill and Liz Vigue; son, Wayne; and daughter, Polly (Wiggin) Jones.
A graveside service with military honors at Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth, will be announced at a later date. A service of Brookings-Smith, Bangor.
