CASWELL – Alton C. Bell, 66, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013, at a Caribou nursing facility. Alton was born April 7, 1947, in Fort Fairfield, the only son of Clearance and Pauline (Watson) Bell.
Alton was a lifelong farmer who sold his farm to Gill Michaud, a close friend whom he enjoyed working with for another 15 years. He also loved to make violins, which he would also give away after he had made them.
Alton is survived by his daughter, Kristy Mitchell and husband, Todd, of Panama City, Fla.; granddaughter, Noelle Caitlyn Mitchell; and special granddaughter Sierra Beaulieu; cousins, Ruthann, Bob, Louise; and close friends, Paul and Gail Caldwell. He will also be missed by many other close friends. Alton was predeceased by his mother, Pauline; and best friend and father, Clearance.
There will be a private graveside service at a later date. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.lancastermorgan.com.
