ORONO, Maine — Police are investigating an accident in which a pedestrian was killed on Forest Avenue Tuesday night.

Orono police Sgt. Scott Wilcox said Wednesday that officers were sent to the area of 161 Forest Ave. just after 7 p.m.

Wilcox declined to release the name of the victim, citing an open investigation. He released no details about the vehicle and driver involved.

Old Town police Officer Lee Miller and Maine State Police Trooper Christopher Cookson are reconstructing the crash, according to Wilcox.
