CARIBOU – Beatrice C. McDougal, 85, wife of the late George McDougal, went to be with her Lord May 19, 2013, following a brave battle against dementia. She was born July 18, 1927, in Caribou, daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Page) Levasseur.
Mrs. McDougal was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an active member of Lister Knowlton Post 9389 Veterans of Foreign Wars and Henry B. Pratt Post 15, American Legion Ladies Axillaries.
She is survived by her children, Charles McDougal of Connecticut, Mary “Jaine” McDougal of New Hampshire, George McDougal and wife, Vadea, of Idaho, Linda McLaughlin and husband, Danny, of Caribou and Galen McDougal and wife, Melody, of Woodland; daughter-in-law, Louise McDougal of Caribou; two sons-in-law; Thomas Doak of Connecticut and Gerald Byram of Florida; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. McDougal was predeceased by her husband, George in 1984; children, Joe, Leo, Patricia and Brenda; and nine siblings.
Friends may call 11 a.m. until time of services Wednesday, May 22, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. with the Rev. Ron Rosser officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com.
