STETSON – Mildred Ella Kells, 81, died May 28, 2013, at a Sunderland, Mass., nursing care facility. She was born Feb. 27, 1932, in Greenfield, Mass., daughter of Arthur and Emily (Willard) Cromack.
She attended Greenfield schools and was employed as an inspector for Sylvania Electronics. She loved knitting, crafts, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. Her family moved to Maine in the early 1960s. They will miss her big bear hugs and laughter.
Mildred celebrated 60 years of marriage to William P. Kells, prior to his passing Jan. 1, 2009. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sister, Florence Townsley; and two brothers, Roger and Melvin Cromack. She is survived by daughter, Pamela Kells of Orange, Mass.; son, Paul Kells and wife, Deborah, of Corinna; six grandchildren, Holly Todd and fiancé, Neil LeBlanc, Karrie Bemis and husband, Allen, Kimberly Todd-Thurber, Tami, Paul Jr. and Caley Kells; four great-grandchildren, Zachary and Brandon Bemis, Brianna Todd-Thurber and Nola Payette; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. Graveside funeral and committal services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 3, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Stetson, with the Rev. Bruce Hudson officiating.
