MENDON, MASS. – Shirley M. (Hutchinson) Raymond, 77, died Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Medway Country Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of Philip M. Raymond, who died in 2011. She was born March 18, 1936, in Stonington, daughter of the late Lawson Bridges Sr. and Dorothy (Hutchinson) Bridges.
Mrs. Raymond was employed as an administrative assistant for several family owned companies in Rocky Hill, Conn. She had lived in Connecticut from 1960-1990 until she moved to Maine and lived there until 2011. Mrs. Raymond was passionate about the state of Maine – the “Island” was the love of her life. She also enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time outdoors. She loved all children and being in the company of friends.
She is survived by daughter, Catherine M. and husband, Peter Chobot, of Mendon, Mass.; three grandchildren, Kimberly A. Cho-bot, Tersa M. Chobot and Steven P. Shwartz; two great-grandchildren, Briana L. Pessini and Alyssa M. Pessini; several nieces and nephews; and her adoring dog, Samantha Marie. She was predeceased by sister, Brenda Quiterio; and brother, Lawson Bridges Jr.
