BRADLEY – Lucille H. Grant, 81, died Aug. 16, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born March 31, 1932, in Olamon, a daughter of Eleanor Griffin and was an adopted daughter of Mary and Vinal Gray of Olamon.
Lucille was employed at the Old Town Shoe Co., for many years, hand sewing, and retired as a dietary supervisor at the Orono Nursing Home. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, bingo and most al all spending time with family and friends. Her selflessness and enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures made her the woman loved so dearly by her family. Lucille was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth Grant in 2006, whom she was extremely devoted and loved with all her heart. She is survived by and sadly missed by two daughters, Bonnie Cote and her husband, Peter, of Bradley, and Brenda Salisbury and her husband, Brian, of Bradley; three grandchildren, Travis Cote, Toby Salisbury and Darcy Hancock; and three great-grandchildren, Teddy Hanson, Blake and Britta Hancock.
A funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Monday, at Old Town United Baptist Church. Private burial will follow at Lawndale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Old Town United Baptist Church, 86 Middle St., Old Town, ME 04468.
