LEE and HOULTON – Lela G. Mallett, 93, died Oct. 2, 2013, in Houlton. She was born June 8, 1920, in Easton, the daughter of John and Birdie (Saunders) Perrigo.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Mallett of Lee; two children, Jacqueline Seamans of Amity, and Jeanne Simpson of Cary Plantation; three grandchildren, David, Hollis, and Shawn Seamans; five stepchildren, Gloria Jacob of Lee, William O’Neal of Illinois, Robert Mallett of Farmington, Brian Mallett and Stephen Mallett, both of Lee; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; a sister, Marguerite Simpson of Cary; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her first husband, Hollis Simpson; and her second husband, William O’Neal.
Graveside funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Hodgdon Cemetery, with the Rev. Richard Mclaughlin officiating.
