LEE – Catherine M. “Kate” Hasson, 91, wife of the late Warren Hasson, died peacefully Oct. 3, 2013, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born April 25, 1922, in Portage Lake, the daughter of Hillard and Anna (Millard) Soucy.
Kate liked making jewelry from rocks that she collected and had a rock shop that people came to admire and visit. She was a strong woman who grew up in The Depression and always had a strong sense of where she came from. She enjoyed her neighbors too.
She is survived by her son, Mark Hasson and Peggy; two grandsons, Patrick Hasson and Giles, and Matthew Hasson and Lanzara; and a great-granddaughter, Emily. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Warren Hasson.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lee, with the Rev. Myles Cyr officiating.
