WASHINGTON — A pair of Maine fire departments will receive more than $133,000 in federal funding, members of the congressional delegation announced Wednesday.
Old Town’s Fire Rescue Department and the Monroe Fire Department will receive the grants.
Old Town will receive nearly $73,000 for cardiac monitors and automatic external defibrillators while Monroe will receive over $61,000 for self-contained breathing apparatuses, rapid intervention packs and firefighter training.
The funding comes from Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Assistance to Firefighter Grants program.
