PORTLAND, Maine — A Gardiner man faces up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty on Tuesday to a robbery charge, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.
Robert Richard, 26, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in connection with a Thanksgiving Day robbery of a Rite Aid in Bridgton.
A sentencing date for Richard has not been announced.
Richard went into the store, wearing a hooded sweat shirt, sunglasses and a bandana, and handed a pharmacist a note that read “All your oxycodone now!” Richard subsequently fled in a vehicle with a bag of oxycodone pills.
In addition to jail time, Richard faces a fine of up to $250,000.
