ROCKLAND, Maine — A Broadway home had minor smoke damage Friday evening because of a fire.
No injuries were reported.
The fire was reported shortly before 8 p.m. at 260 Broadway. The house is owned by Jamie Stone and Christopher Wallace, according to city assessment records.
The fire started when two chairs were left too close to a fireplace, Rockland Fire Department Lt. Rick Johnson said. The chairs were taken out of the house and the fire extinguished.
There was minor smoke damage, the lieutenant said.
