BANGOR, Maine — A local man has died of injuries suffered in a crash on Interstate 95 in Sidney on Thanksgiving morning.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said Christopher Galvin, 44, died Friday morning at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

Galvin had been traveling south when he lost control of his vehicle around 1 a.m. and struck rock ledges before the vehicle overturned and came to rest on its roof, McCausland said.

A tractor-trailer driver witnessed the crash, which remains under investigation as no witnesses have come forward, McCausland said. Trooper Diane Perkins-Vance is investigating the accident.

Anyone with information about the crash is urged to call Maine State Police in Augusta at 624-7074.
