PORTLAND, Maine — A New York man was found guilty Thursday of distributing oxycodone and oxymorphone, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.
Damian Corbett, 40, of New Rochelle will be sentenced at a later date. The trial lasted only two days.
According to court documents, about 1,000 oxycodone and oxymorphone pills were seized from a North Berwick home in December 2014, and Corbett had been supplying the pills to the resident since at least June 2013.
The resident would subsequently distribute the drugs in southern Maine. Corbett was arrested on Dec. 19, 2014, shortly after meeting with the resident again and drug agents seized $2,500 that he had just been paid.
Corbett faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of $1,000,000.
This case was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Portsmouth Tactical Diversion Squad, North Berwick Police Department, Maine State Police and York County Sheriff’s Office.
