ARUNDEL, Maine — A crash during the snowstorm Tuesday led to drug charges for a Hollis man after heroin was found inside his vehicle, the York County Sheriff’s Office said.
The vehicle Robert Keoskie, 42, was driving slid off River Road and struck and snapped a utility pole around noon, according to Sheriff William King, sending wires across the road.
Keoskie, who was not injured, had been driving on a revoked license and was arrested on a charge of operating after habitual offender revocation, the sheriff said. He also was suspected of being under the influence of drugs and was charged with operating under the influence of drugs.
A white, powdery substance found tested positive for heroin, adding a charge of possession of a scheduled drug. Keoskie’s bail was set at $5,000.
Central Maine Power crews were called in to shut off the power so the pole and wires could be replaced.
