CHELSEA, Maine — Three people were injured in a Monday evening collision on Route 9 near the Randolph town line, according to a statement from the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office.

Rowe Palmer, 37, of Farmingdale and Richard Morin, 62, of Randolph collided while Morin was carrying one passenger, Monique Morin, 50, also of Randolph, the statement said.

Palmer’s Ford pickup and Morin’s Toyota Tacoma both had extensive damage while Morin’s vehicle wound up upside down, according to the statement. Extraction tools were required to remove all three occupants.

Palmer and Monique Morin were brought to MaineGeneral Hospital and Richard Morin was brought to Central Maine Medical Center. None of their injuries were considered life-threatening.

The crash remains under investigation. Alcohol may have been a factor.
