AUGUSTA, Maine — A transient allegedly responsible for a convenience store robbery March 5 has been arrested, according to Augusta police.
Corey Ross Swift, 27, is facing a robbery charge in connection with the holdup of the Quick Mart on Western Avenue, Deputy Chief Jared Mills said.
Detectives were able to identify Swift as a suspect Thursday, and he was arrested Thursday afternoon, according to Mills.
Swift allegedly demanded money and threatened to use a concealed gun, Mills said. The weapon was never used in the robbery. No injuries were reported.
Swift is being held on $10,000 bail at the Kennebec County Jail.
