If you’re holding onto a Powerball ticket you purchased at Steamboat Galley on Main Street in Searsport, you’ll really want to check that.
Two winning lottery tickets were sold in Maine, but as of Tuesday, the largest winner, who purchased a $1 million ticket at Steamboat Galley in Searsport, hasn’t stepped forward to claim their prize, according to David Heidrich, spokesman for the Department of Administrative and Financial Services.
Todd Dumont of Freeport has already claimed $50,000 from a ticket he purchased at Shaw’s in Freeport, Heidrich said Monday.
While the holder of the Searsport ticket hasn’t stepped forward, Steamboat Gallery’s owner visited the state lottery offices to receive the $20,000 bonus that comes with selling the winner, Heidrich said.
A Massachusetts woman won $759 million in that Powerball drawing, the largest prize for a single ticket holder in that contest’s history.
This past spring, a local couple won $3.4 million with a Megabucks ticket they bought at a Circle K convenience store in Freeport.
