A popular Dedham beach will be closed to the public again this summer. Jenkins Beach has been closed to visitors since 2023, when a Jenkins family member and her husband bought it and started extensive renovations.

Old Town firefighters warned that proposed cuts could lead to worse service. The Fire Department would shrink from 24 first responders to 20 if the proposed budget goes forward.

A documentary on Bangor’s homelessness crisis will debut this summer. “InhuMAINE” will be one of five films shown during the New England REEL Recovery Film Festival, which raises money for the Maine Association of Recovery Residences. 

This Maine island home for sale comes with its own bowling alley. The midcoast property was listed Monday at $1.6 million, and has already attracted plenty of interest from out-of-state buyers.
