Maine voters can now request an absentee ballot for the November general election, the Secretary of State’s Office announced Monday.
To request a ballot, contact your town or city clerk.
Ballots will be issued by municipal clerks beginning 30 days prior to Election Day. Once you’ve requested a ballot, you can track the process of the request and the ballot online.
Your absentee ballot for the general election must be received by your municipality by 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Maine’s no-excuse absentee voting period, including in-person early voting at town and city halls, starts 30 days before Election Day and runs through Oct. 29.
