Happy Monday!

Temperatures will be more seasonable today, ranging from the low 50s to low 60s across the state. We’ll also see scattered showers this morning across The County and this afternoon across Greater Bangor.

It will be a good day to make sure you have extra batteries, candles and ice, because tomorrow winds will gust up to 50 mph across much of eastern and northern Maine. The National Weather Service warns that isolated outages are possible.

There are 12 people running for three open seats on the Bangor City Council this year — the most in at least four decades.

It can be hard to differentiate between candidates in such a large pool, which is why the Bangor Daily News asked each candidate a series of questions about big issues facing the city, on camera so you can watch and compare their answers.

You can see what all the candidates have to say about affordability, collaboration, drug use and homelessness.
