PRESQUE ISLE – Allen L. Goding, 79, died Friday evening, March 24, 2006, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born Nov. 17, 1926, the son of Lloyd and Rose Goding. He served his country in the U.S. Army-Air Force in World War II. Allen worked for AT & T Telephone Company for 36 years. He loved to play Bingo. He was a member of the Rod and Gun Club, the Stamp and Coin Club and was active with the Boy Scouts where he served as a district leader. Allen is survived by his companion of 25 years, Anice Thurlow of Presque Isle; two sons and their wives, Brian and Patricia Goding of Presque Isle, Shawn and Pam Goding of West Gardiner; one grandchild, and two good friends, Carman Hobbs and Rhonda LaVoie. He was predeceased by his wife, Arlene (Blake) Goding. Friends may call noon-1 p.m. Tuesday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating. Spring interment will be at Masardis Cemetery in Masardis.
