CORINNA – Harold C. White Sr., 56, died unexpectedly March 24, 2006, in Garland. He was born Oct. 8, 1949, in Corinna, the son of Howard C. and Theo (Palmer) White. He was educated in Corinna schools. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He was employed as a machinist at Fay Scott in Dexter for several years. He also worked at Eastland Woolen in Corinna. For most of his working life he worked as an auto mechanic at Hartley’s Chrysler Dodge in Corinna and also Brothers Chevrolet in Dover-Foxcroft. Harold really enjoyed riding his “Harley” and was really looking forward to riding it this summer. He is survived by his wife, Linda White of Hendersonville, N.C.; five sons, Chester White Sr. of Greenbush, Adam White of San Francisco, Calif., Harold White Jr. of Corinna, Alex Williams-White and Matthew Williams-White, both of Hendersonville, N.C.; one daughter, Angela Levensalor of Dexter; two brothers, Leland White of Waterville, Scott Violette of Windham; seven grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. His parents; a son, Herbert; and a sister, Helen predeceased him. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 27, at the Brown Funeral Home and Cremations Services, 34 High St., Newport. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Brown Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Edward Jaworski officiating. Internment will be later this spring at the Nutter Cemetery, Corinna.
