BAR HARBOR – Austin E. Walls Jr. died unexpectedly in Bar Harbor on June 6, 2004. He was born Aug. 5, 1935, in Otter Creek, son of Austin E. Walls Sr. and Erma Walls Ward. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was predeceased by a brother, Glenwood, in 1991. He is survived by brothers, Steven of Bar Harbor, Robert of Franklin, Charles Ward of Pembroke, and their spouses; sisters, Nancy Mitchell of Hampden, and Ellen Mills of Presque Isle; as well as many nephews and nieces. In addition to his family, he will be missed by his many friends, including special friends “Honey” Thompson of Milo, Homer Lawford and Edward Paine, both of Bar Harbor. There will be no scheduled funeral services per Austin’s preference.
