WASHBURN – Bernard L. Flood, 73, died Jan. 2, 2006, at the Maine Veterans’ Home in Caribou. He was born Dec. 27, 1932, in Perry, the son of Arnold and Della (McCready) Flood. Bernard served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed most of his life in the potato industry and enjoyed four wheeling and collecting models of old cars. He is survived by his wife, Alice (Pottle) Flood; two sons, Barry L. Flood and Byron S. Flood; a brother, Leonard Flood; grandchildren, Valerie and Scott Flood, all of Washburn and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Valerie J. Flood. There will be no calling hours. A military graveside service will be held at the Bayside Cemetery in Perry later in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
