BASS HARBOR – Brenda Lee Gard, 50, died May 11, 2004, at a MDI healthcare facility. She was born Dec. 17, 1953, at Prince Edward Island, the daughter of Preston and Alice (Ross) Gillis. Brenda worked for the Jordan’s Restaurant in Bar Harbor for 20 years. She made a host of friends over the years. She loved to garden and do crafts and she enjoyed hiking all around Acadia. She is survived by her parents of Florida; a son, Jeremy Gillis of Hancock; and a daughter, Danielle Neal, of Tremont; two brothers, John Gillis of Seattle, Wash. and Wayne Gillis of Pittsfield; three grandchildren, Brenna, Matthew and Hannah; and special friends, Ralph and Sharon, Phil and Sandy and Carrie. Friends are invited to visit with family and friends 4:30-6 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2004, at Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home, 1139 Main St., Mount Desert.
