CORINNA – Carl F. Frost, 80, died Nov. 22, 2004, at a Dexter healthcare facility. He was born Feb. 12, 1923, at Dexter, a son of Charles and Hazel (Foss) Frost. Carl served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married the former Gladys M. Hartley, Feb. 5, 1944, while he was still in the service. After the war, he worked at Eastland Woolen Mill for many years, and retired from Hartley’s Chrysler-Plymouth, both of Corinna. In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by a sister, Leona Hill of Eagle Point, Ore.; three brothers-in-law and their wives, Perley and Marie Hartley, Darrell and Judy Hartley, Earl and Shirley Hartley, all of Corinna; and a sister-in-law and husband, Dot and Harry Nason, of Newport; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Besides his parents, Carl was predeceased by a sister and her husband, Mabel and Kenneth Hurley; mother and father-in-law, Howard and Bessy Hartley; and sister-in-law, Hazel (Hartley) Clarke. At his request there will be no visiting hours. A graveside funeral service and committal will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at the family lot, Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna, with the Rev. Edward Jaworski officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Pleasant Street Christian Church, 29 St. Albans Road, Corinna, ME 04928.
