LITTLE DEER ISLE – Carlotta E. Parker, 76, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at her home in Little Deer Isle. She was born Sept. 23, 1927, in Little Deer Isle, the daughter of R. Carleton and Helen B. (Sewall) Eaton. Carlotta worked at Port Clyde Sardine Factory in Stonington for more than 30 years. She enjoyed playing cards often with her family and friends. Carlotta is survived by her mother, Helen B. Gelinas of Little Deer Isle; her husband of 55 years, Edgar B. Parker of Little Deer Isle; five children, Pamela (Parker) Gabriele and her husband, Dominick, of Stamford, Conn., Dana Parker and his wife, Linda, of Little Deer Isle, Sheila Joyce and her husband, David, of Deer Isle, David Parker and his wife, Barbara, of Penobscot, and Darin Parker of Little Deer Isle; two sisters, Sylvia Doran and her husband, Harold, of East Hartford, Conn., and Beverly Rimkus of Little Deer Isle; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Carlotta was predeceased by her father and her stepfather, Robert Gelinas. Graveside memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at the Blastow’s Cove Cemetery, Little Deer Isle, with the Rev. Harald Smedal officiating.
