BROWNVILLE – Constance Marie Fletcher Stickney, 81, wife of Donald L. Stickney, passed away Nov. 29, 2005, within the warmth and love of her family at her home. She was born Dec. 17, 1923, in Eastport, the daughter of Roscoe L. and Dorothy L. (Brown) Fletcher. Connie, as she was known to all, was a loving, giving and caring woman. She had a strong faith and was a member of the Brownville Community Church, where she served as organist and choir director for 65 years. She also served as organist for 12 years in the St. Paul and St. Francis Catholic Churches. Connie was a member of the Junior Welfare Club, the R.B. Club and was a lifelong member of Echo Chapter No. 98 OES. Family and God were her top priorities in life. She was truly a Mama to her children and soul mate to her husband. She instilled humanitarian values and the love of family and music in all her children. Connie was predeceased by a daughter, Karen Stickney; and a sister, Dorothy Libby. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Donald of Brownville; six children and their spouses, Carole Ann and Richard Glueck of Winterport, Donald Stickney II of Newfield, Susan and Russell Bushnell of Rochester, Vt., Peter Stickney of Newfield, Paul and Karen Stickney of Hollis and Betsy and David Bessey of Brownville; 12 grandchildren: Kendra and Tristan Glueck, Everett and Donald III Stickney, Holli Bushnell, Zebulun Carpenter Leavitt, Clara, Emily and Dorothy Stickney, and David Jr., Christopher and Joshua Bessey; one great-grandchild, Skyler; many special nieces, nephews and other extended family. She will be especially missed by a very special friend and caregiver, Eva Bessey, one of God’s angels, to whom the family extends special thanks for the loving and tender care she gave Connie. A celebration of Connie’s life will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at the Brownville Community Church, with the Rev. Darren Morgan officiating. Following the service there will be a time of fellowship and sharing at the church fellowship hall. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Brownville Community Church, P.O.
