ORRINGTON and WINTERPORT – David Malcolm Foley, 57, husband of Candice (Huntley) Foley, passed away unexpectedly, Nov. 14, 2004, at his home in Orrington. He was born April 29, 1947, in Portland, Robert Michael Hamburger, the son of Virginia H. Hamburger. He was lovingly raised, as David Malcolm Foley, by his adoptive parents, Malcolm E. and Sophia (Sullivan) Foley. David was a graduate of John Bapst High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. He was a talented musician who played in several, local area bands. David played bass guitar, acoustic guitar, saxophone and vocals in the bands. He was an avid New England sports fan; “Go Sox’s”. David was very much loved as a son, husband, father, brother and friend who will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 12 years, Candi of Orrington; a son, Brian David Foley and his wife, Lori, of Massachusetts; two daughters, Jenni Raven Foley of Bangor and Effie Mae Rideout and her husband, Deven, of Bangor and their daughter, Sophia Ann Rideout, David’s only grandchild; and stepdaughter, Nicole Jackson of Massachusetts; two brothers, Paul W. Grant and his wife, Pamela, of Portland, and Richard H. Grant of Windham; two sisters, Nancy Profenno and her husband, Edward, of Portland and Pamela Matthews and her husband, John, of Portland; nieces and nephews, Christopher, Jaime, Angela, Sara, Michael, Brandon and Dylan, all of Portland. A celebration of David’s Life, for family and friends will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at David’s and Candi’s home, 462 Johnson Mill Road, Orrington.
