MILLINOCKET – Deloris E. Jones, 73, passed away Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, at a local healthcare facility. She was born Oct. 12, 1929, at Dolby, the daughter of Perley and Jessie (Miller) Lee. Deloris worked as a pulp contractor and landscaper with her husband, Bernard T. Jones. She also worked for many years as a school bus driver for the Medway school department. She continued her working career as a custodian at Great Northern Paper Co., retiring in 1989. Deloris was a loving and caring mother to her children and grandchildren. She loved to play beano and cards with her friends. She was also a member of American Legion Post No. 80 Auxillary. She is survived by three children, Eric and wife, Lucy Jones, of Millinocket, David and wife, Pamela Jones, of Smith Pond, and Lillian and husband, Jammey Legassey, of Millinocket; her loving grandchildren, Jason, Erica, Crystal, Carrie, David Jr., James, Shawn, Roxanne, Terra, Richard Jr., Jeremy, Jonathan; and special great-grandchildren, Reece, Chelsea, Jacob, Tyrel, Jared, Mikala, Chloe, Bailey and Isiah; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three children, Bernard, Deloris, and Crystal; four sisters and five brothers. Time and place of service will be announced at a later date.
