Geraldine Harriman, 84, passed away April 29, 2005, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born Nov. 20, 1921, in Burlington, the daughter of Miranda (Sibley) Shorey and Ralph Curtis Sr., who predeceased her. Her stepfather is Archie Shorey Sr. Geraldine married Alfred Harriman in 1937. She was a loving wife and mother, who especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Geraldine was an outdoors person, enjoying fishing, gardening and walking and especially loved cooking. Surviving in addition to her husband of 68 years, are five children, Malcolm and Gail Harriman, Pamela and Richard Conrad, Jeffery and Theresa Harriman, all of Burlington, Eugene and Ardel Kelley of Lincoln, Kathy and Michael Pond of Arkansas; 24 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Charles Curtis and special friend, Francina, of Medway, Ralph and Florence Curtis of Burlington, Lawrence and Rena Shorey, Joyce and Robert Harvey, all of Patten, Viena Ward of Florida, Viola Scales of Connecticut; sister-in-law, June Shorey of Connecticut, Beverly Shorey-Cole of Lowell, Edith and Howard Shorey of Burlington; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, an infant son, Alfred Clayton; and two brothers, Archie Shorey Jr. and Glenwood Shorey. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a Diabetic charity. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. May 7, at Mount Repose Cemetery, Burlington. A gathering will be held at the Burlington Town Hall following the service.
