BEAVER COVE – Robert D. Martin, 63, died April 26, 2005, at a Greenville hospital. He was born Jan. 11, 1942, in Melrose, Mass., the son of James and Edythe (Higgins) Martin. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a printing coordinator for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 10 years. After spending many years vacationing on Moosehead Lake, he retired to Maine in 2003. Bob was an avid boater and fisherman on Moosehead, and liked nothing better than a challenging game of cribbage. He is survived by his life partner of 39 years, John Schwab of Beaver Cove; a brother, Bruce Martin of San Francisco; five nephews and nieces, to include, Jerry Martin of Waterloo, N.Y., and Sarah Martin of Boston, Mass.
