BANGOR – Harriett J. Philbrook, 92, wife of the late Edgar Stillman Philbrook of Bangor, died Feb. 3, 2005, at a local healthcare center. She was born March 30, 1912, in Westbrook, the daughter of Peter and Mary Louise (Paquette) Dwyer. Harriett was a communicant of St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor. Surviving are three sons, Robert E. Philbrook of Manchester, N.H., Louis P. Philbrook of Londonderry, N.H., and Mark Philbrook of Lagrange; two daughters, Elaine Gilmore of Bangor, and Jane Betts of Manchester, N.H.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Yvonne McLaughlin in 1998. Friends may call 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, at St. John’s Catholic Church, with the Very Rev. Richard McLaughlin, pastor, celebrant.
