MURRELLS INLET, S.C. – Helen Kay McCullough departed this world Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, to be with the angels she loved so much. Helen was born July 31, 1941, in Woodbury, N.J., to parents, Paul H. and Nancy Pierson (Dubois) Besse. She lived most of her adult life in Monroe. Helen, known as Kay Kay by all who knew her, was an extremely loving human being. She was of the Christian Science faith and distinguished her life by an incredible love of family and friends. She will forever be held close in the hearts of her family, husband and friends. Everyone who knew Kay Kay could see the love in her. She is truly a unique angel in God’s host of angels. She leaves behind three extremely loving and caring daughters, Jennifer K. Winkle and Ira White, Samantha Tomlin and Chris Tomlin, all of Maine and Laura Winkle and Mike Davis of Myrtle Beach, Fla.; and her very loving husband, Bernie “Mick” McCullough. In addition she leaves five grandchildren, Adrian, Kayla, Zachary and twins, Jazmin and Maxwell, all of Maine; six stepchildren, 23 stepgrandchildren, two great- stepgrandchildren and many wonderful friends both here in Myrtle Beach, Fla., and in Maine. Grand Strand Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
