LINCOLN – Henry L. Plourde, 72, husband of Mary (Thompson) Plourde, died Feb. 15, 2007, at a Lin-oln hospital. He was born July 26, 1934, in West Enfield, the son of James and Yvonne (Roy) Plourde. Henry was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He operated a sawmill in West Enfield and was instrumental in the building of Green Valley Golf Course. He worked for 34 years at Great Northern Paper Co., East Millinocket. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and camping. He made maple syrup, cut wood, plowed snow, shoveled walks and was a handy man to all who needed help. He dearly loved his grandchildren and step-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by a son, James Plourde and wife, Christin and their children, Jordan and Riley, of Merrimac, N.H.; a daughter, Jill Plourde of Brewer; three stepchildren, Alison Abdo, her husband, Huzen and their daughter, Jessica Brens, of Rhode Island; Billie-Jo Cheney, husband, Arnold and their children, Chelsea, Symone and Cameron, of Lincoln; and Maj. William Joseph Perry, wife, Happy and their children, Ian, Daviden and Myra, of South Carolina; four brothers, James Jr. of West Enfield, Dennis of Bangor, Norman of Georgia and Robert of Calais; a sister, Cecile Bates of Ossippie, N.H. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Lorraine; and an infant brother. Friends may call 2:30-4:30 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Congregational Church, Lincoln, with the Rev. Darrell Joiner, pastor, officiating. Spring interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery.
