CARIBOU – J. Adrien E. Belanger, 61, died April 20, 2005, at Bangor, following a long illness. He was born Feb. 20, 1944, at Edmonston, N.B., Canada, the son of Denis and Jeanne (Levesque) Belanger. He was employed at Potato Service of 17 years and at J.R. Simplot for their entirety in Presque Isle. He was also employed for Ronald Guerrette and Glen Bell on their farms. Adrien also delivered the Bangor Daily News in the Stockholm and New Sweden areas and most recently through Connor, Van Buren, Hamlin, Caswell, Limestone and Loring Air Force Base. He also cut and sold firewood and picked and sold many pounds of fiddleheads. Adrien was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He loved hunting, fishing and raising pheasants and his American Eskimos, Margo, Baby Bear, Storm and Sparky. His family and friends were very important to him and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He married Arline (Philbrook) Farley-Belanger Aug. 26, 1987. Surviving in addition to his wife, of Caribou; are one stepson, Dana Glenn Farley of Caribou; one stepdaughter, Sandra Levesque and her husband, Danniel, of Grand Falls, N.B.; three sisters, Mrs. Reno (Anita) Soucy, Mrs. Leo (Anne) Couturier, all of Edmonston, N.B., Mrs. Ronald (Mary Ann) Tousaint of Quebec; and a Godson, Jerry Ruest of Baker Brook, Canada. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, Saturday, April 23, 2005, from 9 a.m. until time services, which will be held 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Fr. Thanh Hguyen, pastor, officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial.
