JEAN-MARIE JOSEPH PELLETIER PRESQUE ISLE – Jean Joseph Pelletier, 57, died Friday night, Feb. 23, 2007, at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 27, 1949, in Saint Jean de la Lande, Quebec, Canada, the son of Maxime and Exilda (Saucier) Pelletier. He moved to Maine when he was 18 years old, and at the age of 21, he married Yvonne Poliquin. Jean worked for years as a maintenance man at Potato Service, Inc., and McCains Foods. He was well known for being a hard worker. He loved to fish, and loved spending time with his grandchildren, who meant the world to him. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne of Presque Isle; two sons, John Pelletier and his wife, Stacey, and Chris Pelletier and his fianc?e, Jessica; three grandchildren, Connor Murchison, Michaella and Abagayle Pelletier, all of Presque Isle; two “adopted” daughters, Robin Holmquist of Caribou and Amanda Beaulieu of Mapleton; a brother, Eudore Pelletier of Montreal; and three sisters, Ghisleine Pelletier of Lawrence, Mass., Rose Ann Goulet of Clair, New Brunswick, and Loraine Lavoie of St. Rose, Quebec. Relatives and friends may call 9-10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Presque Isle, with the Rev. David Raymond officiating. Spring interment will be in Presque Isle.
