MILLINOCKET – Jeffrey S. Guy, 37, passed away at a local hospital on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004. He was born in Millinocket, Dec. 31, 1966, the son of David and Marlene (Martin) Guy. Jeff was a graduate of Stearns High School in 1985 where he was president of his senior class. Following graduation from high school, he attended Eastern Maine Vocational Institute, and in April of 1987, he entered the U.S. Air Force where he served his country until his retirement in January of 2003. While in the Air Force, he specialized in electrical aircraft maintenance. His service took him to different parts of the world including Aviano, Italy, the Phillipines, Saudi Arabia, and Belgium. He received numerous citations and medals during his years in the Air Force and was highly commended by his military peers. Jeff was an ardent NASCAR fan and enjoyed hunting and spectator sports. He is survived by his wife, Heather (Day) Guy of Millinocket; his children, Jeffrey Guy, Jr. of Seattle, Wash., Anthony and Emily Guy, both of Millinocket; his parents, David and Marlene Guy of Millinocket; two brothers and their spouses, Chris and Shana Guy of Glenburn and David and Linda Guy of Millinocket; his sister and her husband, Barbara and Bruce Legassey of Millinocket; he will also be dearly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Millinocket.
