ELLSWORTH – Lee Marie Butler, 65, died Nov. 10, 2004, of a brain tumor. She was born March 8, 1939, in Yarmouth the daughter of John N. Arsenault and Jeanette C. (Scott) Arsenault. Lee worked for several local businesses in the Ellsworth community. She enjoyed bowling, hunting, and fishing. She will be remembered by all for her spirit and love to all. She will be missed as a wife, mother, sister, aunt, “Nana”, and friend by many. In addition to her husband of 48 years, Edward M. Butler Sr.; she is survived by a sister, Joanne Arsenault; two brothers, John and his wife, Caroline Arsenault, Mike and his wife, Maureen Arsenault; three sons, Edward Butler Jr., Kelley and his wife, Cathy Butler, Mark and his wife, Monica Butler; two daughters, Debbie Carter, and Lisa and her husband, Kevin Patten; a special niece, Spring Davignon; 13 grandchildren, Tiffany, Miranda and Tasha Butler, Alisha and Rachel Patten, Jeremiah and Clayton Jr. Carter, Brandon, Nate, Isiah and Logan Butler, Amanda Hisler and Aaron Flynn, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and adopted family members. She was predeceased by her sisters, Rachel Blake and Josephine McNamara. A gathering for family and friends will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lee’s name to Eastern Maine Charities Cancer Care of Maine, P.O. Box 404, Bangor, ME 04402-0404.
