BANGOR and BREWER – Lois T. McKay, 96, passed away Jan. 15, 2006, after having enjoyed a full life of loving and being loved by her family and friends. She was born May 10, 1909, in Wytopitlock, one of three children of Hiram and Ellen (Grant) McLaughlin. Lois graduated from Wytopitlock High School, Valedictorian of her class. She continued on and graduated with honors from Farmington Normal School and subsequently taught in the Patten school system. Lois will always be remembered by her loving family and friends as a kind and considerate lady who always compromised her own interests for the benefit of others. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela and her husband, Alfred Mosca, of Bangor; grandchildren, Patricia and her husband, Peter Verbeeck, of Florida, Barbara and her husband, Dan LeTourneau, of Connecticut, Thomas McKay of Gray, Alan and his wife, Jennifer Mosca, of Brewer, Anthony Mosca of Bangor. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Lois was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Wilfred; and her son, Marvin. In fulfillment of her wishes there will be a graveside memorial service held in the spring, at the Drew Plantation Cemetery, at a time and date to be announced by Foley Funeral Service.
