BLAINE – Malcolm A. Kinney, 79, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, at a Mars Hill health care facility. He was born July 5, 1924, in Corinna, the son of Asa and Doris (Perkins) Kinney. Mac owned and operated his own farm in Blaine for a number of years, retiring in 1988. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Madeline, of Blaine; three special stepchildren, Bob Brewer and his wife, Pam, of Blaine, Lona Brewer of Presque Isle, Paula DeLong and her husband, Steve, of Blaine; nine stepgrandchildren, Terri Foster, Robbie and Gregg Brewer, all of Perth Andover, New Brunswick, LaJena Miller of Blaine, Nina Young and her husband, Troy, of Westfield, Bryan and Jessica Grew, Russell and Carl DeLong, all of Blaine; three sisters, Hope Lunn of Mars Hill, Erva Buckham and her husband, Jim, of Portage, Mich., Rowena Porter of Blaine and Ft. Wayne, Ind.; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mac will also be remembered by a special cousin, Phil Kinney and his wife, Eva, of Mars Hill; and special friends, George and Adine Frost of Bangor and Jan and Vincent Rush of Mattawamkeag. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Amy Marchant; a great-granddaughter, Shyanna Young; and a nephew, Larry Tweedie. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday at the Old Fashioned Revival Center with the Rev. Mark Carter officiating. A spring interment will take place at Smith Cemetery.
