FARMINGDALE – Margaret “Peggy” Eno Flagg, 78, formerly of Farmingdale, passed away peacefully, Dec. 28, 2005, Wednesday at the Harbor Hill Home in Belfast. She was born in Haverhill, Mass., March 30, 1927, a daughter of George and Helen Donohue Eno. She often spoke of meeting Dent, Ed and other loved ones in heaven. Her life was a full one. She was a devoted wife, and a mom like no other to her own children plus a few others. She was involved in activities that ran the gamut; from den mother to school board member, from literacy volunteer to Meals on Wheels volunteer. She was very active at her beloved St. Joseph’s Church and was eager to lend a hand wherever she was needed. She will be dearly missed by her children, her daughter, Gay Lynn Simmons and her husband, Frank, of Lancaster, Mass.; her son, Russ Flagg and his wife, Ellie, of Belfast; and her daughter, Alison Prescott and her husband, Greg, of West Gardiner. Her grandchildren were her special joy. They are Lee and Amanda, Sadie and Adam, John and Noah, Casey and Alex, and several great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Gardiner. Spring burial will be in the family lot in Main Avenue Cemetery, Farmingdale.
